# Strategic Flow MCP Server

## Overview

Strategic Flow MCP is a public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and SaaS email audit AI tool. It helps Claude and other AI agents analyze the conversion structure of B2B SaaS lifecycle, onboarding, activation, retention, and product-marketing emails before they are sent.

It applies Strategic Flow's 7-point Decision Friction Model to identify the structural reasons an email loses reader momentum, then returns named friction patterns, evidence, diagnosis, conversion impact, and recommended structural changes. It is an analysis tool, not an email sender or deliverability tester.

No OAuth login is required to connect an MCP client. The endpoint is publicly reachable. Both tools use the free API key emailed by `POST /api/mcp/claim-key`.

### Claude connection

Add `https://mcp.strategicflow.tech/api/mcp` as a Streamable HTTP MCP server in Claude. After initialization, Claude can discover both exposed tools:

Pass the emailed API key as the tool argument `api_key`, not as an HTTP header. Get a key at `https://mcp.strategicflow.tech/api/mcp/claim-key`.

## Available Tools

### ask_strategic_flow
Description: Answers questions about the Decision Friction Model methodology, SaaS email conversion friction, and how to improve the structural path to first value.
Parameters:
- `api_key` (string, required): The key emailed by `POST /api/mcp/claim-key`.
- `question` (string, required): The question about the methodology or email conversion friction.
Auth: Valid `api_key` required.
Rate Limit: Free key: 3 email audits and 3 questions per rolling 24 hours per IP.

### audit_email
Description: It returns the named Decision Friction patterns found, the exact lines from your email that trigger each one, and why each creates friction. The rebuilt email, new CTA and subject variants are part of the paid Decision Friction Review ($149).
Parameters:
- `api_key` (string, required): The key emailed by `POST /api/mcp/claim-key`.
- `subject` (string, required): The email subject line.
- `body` (string, required): The email body copy.
- `preview_text` (string, optional): The email preview or preheader text.
- `email_type` (string, optional): The type of lifecycle email.
- `audience` (string, optional): The intended audience or segment.
- `desired_action` (string, optional): The action the email should drive.
Auth: Valid `api_key` required.

### Claim an audit key
Endpoint: `POST https://mcp.strategicflow.tech/api/mcp/claim-key`
Body: `{ "email": "you@example.com" }`
The email is added or updated in Resend with the `mcp_source` property set to `mcp-tool-leads`, and the generated key is sent to that email address. Claiming again rotates the key.

## Paid Decision Friction Review

## Higher-allowance plan

A current Stripe subscription linked to the email associated with a valid API key raises the allowance to 10 calls per tool per rolling 24 hours. Checkout requires the key owner's email and API key; a completed paid subscription is assigned to that key owner's email.

## Data Handling & Privacy

- The MCP layer forwards email content over standard HTTPS to a separate Strategic Flow audit service.
- The MCP layer itself does not persist submitted email content.
- This MCP implementation does not identify the separate audit service's underlying model provider or disclose that provider's retention or training policy. No provider-specific no-training or retention claim is made.
